Overview: This course introduces Abaqus analysis capabilities through the keywords interface, ideal for users relying on third-party preprocessors. Covers Abaqus/Standard, Abaqus/Explicit, and Abaqus/Viewer.
On completion of this course, user will be able to learn the following:
- Fundamental modeling techniques and syntax
- Linear and nonlinear statics
- Selection of the appropriate element for your problem
- Adaptive load incrementation and convergence criteria
- Interpretation of messages issued by Abaqus.
- Geometric, material and contact-induced nonlinearity
- Linear elasticity and metal plasticity
- Restarting of analyses
- Appropriate modeling techniques for contact problems
- Eigenfrequency extraction
- Linear and nonlinear dynamics
- Model transfer between Abaqus/Explicit and Abaqus/Standard.
Live session on: 7th and 9th Oct 2024, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Pre-requisite: No previous knowledge of Abaqus is mandatory, but some basic knowledge of finite elements and continuum mechanics is desirable.
