- Brief on Bend Allowances
Design of Component-1
- Read the basic drawing
- Launch the Native application
- Specify the Sheet Metal Parameters
- Draw the basic sketch
- Constrain sketch by giving Geometrical and Dimensional constraints
- Create Wall, User-defined Flange, Rectangular Pattern, Countersunk Hole and Corner
- Generate Fold/Unfold View
- Create an Assembly
Design of Component-2
- Create basic features
- Create Wall on Edge and Corner Relief
- Create Cutout, Louver, Surface Stamp and Flanged Hole
- Create Bridge, Bead, Circular Stamp, Hole and Mirror
Design of Component-3
- Create basic features
- Create Flange, Stiffening Rib and Shading
- Create Circular Pattern
Design of Component-4
- Create basic features
- Create Extrusion
- Generate a DXF File
- Save the file using Save option in Share Menu
- Import the DXF Files into Drafting App
- Edit the Drawing Sheet
- Give Dimensions for detailing
Pre-requisite: User should be a Mechanical Engineer and should have completed 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA Part Design course. The recommended version for practice exercises is 3DEXPERIENCE 2018x and above.
